The $5 domains are also over, so instead of adding up $5 to have a TLD domain (.com,.net,.org) you’ll have to add up $10. Sorry for this, but the domain registrars are having price hikes as well! :S

But then again, you will still get free .info domains with basic plans paid yearly. We did it this way instead of a price hike for the hosting plans.

We are now accepting Unionbank Transfers/ UnionBank Bank Deposit too. I should have thought of this earlier. But we are no longer accepting SmartMoney transactions because I never heard frm Smart again after applying for a card, I don’t have time to deal with it yet.

Clearing things up…

*For those who purchased Basic Plans that are yearly paid, the free .info domain is only free for the 1st year. You’ll have to add up $9 for the renewal of your domain.

*Inactive free hosted websites (2 months or so) will be suspended WITHOUT prior notice. If you don’t message us within a total of another 2 months after suspension, we will permanently terminate your account.

*Free hosted websites without a link back in their footer/sidebar will be suspended as well, after 2 months if they do not contact us about it, we will terminate it permanently too.

*The link back has to be at your footer or sidebar!

Yesterday, we emailed all website owners who own websites hosted for free by Oh Rainbow Hosting regarding the link back issue. It’s just that we noticed some of you weren’t giving proper credit to our website. It might be a bit annoying to you but we’re doing this to play fair for the others that have linked us. And remember, we’re hosting you for free and if you are, there are rules to be followed. As stated..

Before you sign up, please copy and save a link button of Oh Rainbow Hosting. Once your application has been accepted, please remember to place a link button of our website which will be seen in all pages of your website – footer, sidebar or header. If you are linking our website to a certain page only we can suspend your account. We promise to host you as long as Oh Rainbow exists, and by placing our link buttons, you help share about us to all your friends and other bloggers. Hopefully, for every customer the longer our free hosting services will be.

For those who have placed us in the credits, we thank you a lot. But we would really appreciate it more if you put a link to our website in every pages (in your footer/sidebar). We are very thankful for those who linked us in all pages automatically without being told, and for those who took action after receiving our emails and messages. For the rest, we could not contact you or you haven’t checked your email.

I hope we don’t sound mean but, we’ll be checking after a week (as said in our email) if everyone has properly linked us. If not, we will suspend their accounts. If ever you get suspended we have reminded you, it’s on your part to take responsibility of your actions.

We will also be suspending websites who have been really inactive, let’s say, for a 2 months already because we actually stated before that we suspend accounts of websites hosted for free without further notice if they have been inactive for two months, we have revised the rule concerning to that we will instead suspend those who are inactive for a month.

If ever your website gets suspended, you can always contact us to unsuspend it. However, please give us a valid reason why we should and we did our best to contact you in case your excuse is that you weren’t told about this.

Our main hosts has announced to us a server transfer that’s why we asked for everyone to refrain from making updates because chances are, you will lose these updates when they restore our accounts after the transfer – and now, needless to say it’s done and we can now all update our websites! Hooray!

We can already experience the change, it’s now faster. Hopefully it will be like that all the time. If you’ve noticed our website was also down yesterday having the “Error Database Connection” because the admin accidentally deleted the WordPress Database and other Databases. But anyway, it’s been restored. Good thing! Yet we are still going to change our layout soon, the pages and etc. more surprises in store, cheaper and better hosting plans.

Anyway, the title says it all. This Friday and Saturday, there’s been trouble because most of my hostees couldn’t see their websites. I thought it was because our main host’s data center was attacked by some hacker..(well it could be partly a reason).

But it turns out, our private nameservers aren’t working (ns1.oh-rainbow.net and ns2.oh-rainbow.net). I was instructed to change nameservers to ns1.godlovesus.0rg.ph and ns2.godlovesus.0rg.ph. I was only able to change the domains under my control, as for the ones that aren’t please change them right away if you can’t see your sites, it can help solve the problem so you can see them.
